GoLd_M has discovered a vulnerability in the PictPress plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
Input passed to the "path" parameter in resize.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a call to "readfile()". This can be exploited to disclose the content of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation requires that the "pp_full_image" option is enabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
